Every couple experiences the well-known 'Honeymoon' phase, a blissful and carefree period in their relationship. Whether it occurs during the actual honeymoon vacation or just as a phase that describes the beginning of a new relationship, both partners are just getting to know each other. Everything a new partner does – whether it's the way they eat or the stories they tell – feels charming and endearing.

Of course, the honeymoon phase is just that: a phase. Eventually, after getting used to each other, both partners need to adjust to a new reality (except for the really lucky ones who manage to keep the honeymoon alive).

I guess my biggest advice is to enjoy the ride; it truly is a special and unique time in our lives. If you find yourself wondering what you can do to make this phase last longer and maintain a romantic relationship, well, first, we all have to realize that just because the honeymoon is over, it doesn't mean the relationship is over. If you can navigate the changes you go through as a couple, you'll know you can handle whatever life brings in the future.
